Built on 2,100sq metres of tropical garden, this gem of a villa has its main architecture derived from a French architect’s overhaul of a traditional Khmer house. One of its highlight elements is a beautifully-restored wooden house that houses 1 of the 4 bedrooms and sits adjacent to the main villa, making the living experience here a pampering of sorts and one to be savoured.

Bedrooms: There are 4 stylish and tastefully-appointed bedrooms which all have their own ensuite bathrooms to boot. The 1st two bedrooms are located on the main villa’s 1st floor, while the 3rd room can be found on the ground floor, which also connects directly to the dining and living room here. The 2 upper-floor rooms are equipped with their own king-sized beds, wardrobes, a small salon each, as well as standing showers in the respective ensuite bathrooms, overlooking the pool and garden views. The final bedroom, meanwhile, is cocooned in the separate but adjacent wooden house and comes with its own king-sized bed, a small salon, a standing shower in its bathroom, and which connects directly to the balcony that runs the length of the house’s front.

Outdoors: Villa Serey has a wonderful garden that is filled with a lovely diversity of trees, plants, and flowers that surround the perimeters of the home, by virtue of its location in one of the private forested areas in the city. There’s also a reasonably large saltwater pool measuring 4 x 10 m on the side of the garden and an open ample yard that offers great space for guests to linger and chill amidst the outdoors. Large terraces extend from the bedrooms that afford occupants with enviable top-down views of the greenery and tranquillity.

Indoors: The indoor space spans a total built-up size of 320 sq metres, of which the living hall occupies 120 sq metres that come fitted with retractable windows. Large plush sofas fill the spacious set-up with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer an abundance of natural lighting into the indoors, and with a direct commune to the outdoors that teem with greenery. The seamless connection extends over to the dining hall together with the half-open kitchen area, commanding a panoramic view of the gardens and scenery outside while materials like solid wood and rattan take centre stage among its furniture and furnishings.

Staff Quarters: The villa is attended to by a team of well-trained staff who personify hospitality and warmth. A personal host and villa manager is in-charge in overseeing the arrangement of things by the staff throughout guests’ stay. For laundry services, there’s a housekeeper while a butler is also available to help with meals, of which breakfast is included as part of the stay package. Guests will also receive welcome drinks, airport transfer service, and feel safe thanks to its 24-hour security system that comes with private parking and an electronic gate. Fast complimentary WiFi connection is also provided for guests to keep in touch with friends and upload their social media.
