Villa Marinasco is newly renovated in a traditional Italian style with perfectly restored antique pieces, frescos and stylish furniture. Bedrooms: Villa Marinasco offers four bedrooms in the main house and an additional double room in an independent apartment. Altogether, the villa can sleep a total of 12 guests. The master bedroom is located on the first floor and features a king-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom including a shower with hydromassage. On the same floor, visitors will also find two double bedrooms with queen-sized beds, which share a bathroom with a shower. On the ground floor is a twin bedroom, which the owner has furnished with antique pieces reclaimed from an old English ship. In the independent apartment, guests are offered another double bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and a living room with a sleeping couch.

Outdoors: Villa Marrinasco is located on 1500 square metres of secluded private grounds, where guests can enjoy panoramic sea views of the Gulf of Poets. Directly adjoining the house is a shaded patio with sofas, armchairs and a large dining table. This patio is beautifully arranged in a traditional style, and guests will enjoy sipping on an espresso or glass of wine while overlooking the luscious hillside. Elsewhere guests can enjoy the colourful garden featuring native flowers and trees, which is carefully maintained by a professional gardener, and a 5×3 metre pool, equipped with hydromassage and tidal features.

Indoors: The beautiful design of the Villa Marinasco’s interiors have been celebrated not only by visitors but also praised by design experts in one of Italy’s most popular home magazines. The villa is laid out on three levels, the lowest of which (the garden level) features a large living room, which the owner recommends as being perfect for yoga. The entrance hall and living room on the ground floor are both decorated in a grand, traditional style, featuring antiques, frescoed ceilings and a splendid marble staircase. The dining room is particularly impressive, with a chandelier and Roman-style frescos. Despite the old-world style, the villa is completely renovated and offers all of the conveniences of modern life, including a complete chef’s kitchen, Wifi and a TV with cable.

Staff Quarters: The booking price includes all utilities, linens and towels, parking and gardening. The owner of the villa, who lives in an annexe nearby the house, is happy to offer any advice and suggestions for dining, shops and places of interest. She is also a fine wine connoisseur, and offers a tour of the town, including the farmer’s market, fish market and all of the culinary secrets of La Spezia. For an additional fee, guests can arrange cleaning and cooking services, cooking lessons, tours and activities and airport transfers.

Villa Marinasco is the perfect base to explore Liguria and Tuscany, being very close to Palmaria Island and the UNESCO listed town of Portovenere, and 20 minutes drive from Forte Dei Marmia and Viareggio which are famous for their boutique shopping and nightlife.
