Guests may be interested to know that the main house was formerly an 18-century French manor that was shipped piece by piece from Normandy to St Barth in the 80s by the villa’s previous owners. In 2006, an accomplished Barcelona designer saw enormous potential with the land that was put up for sale and decided to integrate the old manor into her vision…and the rest as they say, is history with how Villa Le Manoir de Lorient came to be today.

Bedrooms: Villa Le Manoir de Lorient is designed with 7 double bedrooms for 14 guests, each of which offers a distinctive design or a surprise furnishing or sorts. The rooms are chic in taste and vibe with all-white walls and all-white sloping ceiling beams that keep guests soothed, calm, relaxed and simply in vogue. The ensuite contemporary bathrooms are fitted with Boffi fixtures and rain head showers, and where 2 of the bathtubs are designed by Piero Lissoni.

Outdoors: The 8m X 20m swimming pool is a definite charmer for guests to go for dips or swims in its turquoise waters, while the vast surrounding deck is fitted with sunbeds under the shade of palm trees which are all part of the oasis of greenery around. There is also a hammock hanging between both trees for guests to lay on, while guests can also choose to sit around its grassy manicured lawn for picnics or relaxation. At the open pavilion next to the pool, its selected decor of polished concrete, sucupira wood and sisal conjure a breezy and carefree vibe that matches the idyllic island life, while the huge outdoor barbeque and dining table opens up possibilities for guests to host, entertain, socialise or simply gather around with their big group for meals every day.

Indoors: The home’s interior is tastefully furnished with muted colour tones and carefully-selected artworks that amplify its beautiful design. The owner had incorporated the old manor to transform it into a loft-like main house for the kitchen, living and dining areas. The upper floor and front wall of the house has also been removed to create an impressive sense of vertical space while revealing the classic beauty of a high-timbered ceiling. This area then opens out to the garden and deck that lends the kitchen, living and dining areas a seamless amalgamation with the outdoors. The very spacious and high ceilings in the living area is tastefully decorated with high-end and stylish furniture and furnishings, while the modern fully-equipped kitchen is fitted with wood materials and marble surface top in an elongated space with lots of wall openings to let in plenty of sunlight and breeze.

Staff Quarters: At Villa Le Manoir de Lorient, guests can be assured of top-notch services including daily cleaning performed by the housekeeping team with the exception of Sundays and public holidays, as well as in-house concierge services by the 24/7 concierge team to attend to any requests or needs of guests. They will also be greeted upon arrival to be personally escorted to the villa’s grounds, with also the same hospitality during their departure day.
