Villa Gros Ilets is a two-bedroom villa located in the quartier (French district) of Lurin, just outside the island’s capital, Gustavia. It is a two-level property, with the common areas upstairs and the bedrooms below. Its compact structure is perfect for a small travel group or a family of four people. Guests are able to swim in the pool, enjoy the sunshine, or have a barbecue party on the upstairs terrace with a stunning view of the Caribbean Sea. On a good day, the nearby island of Saba is also visible from the two terraces. The downstairs terrace can be accessed from the two bedrooms. Located a few minutes away from the town of Gustavia, large town conveniences, such as grocery shops are within reach of the villa. For those longing for a relaxing day at the beach, Gouverneur beach is a close distance away. These features make Villa Gros Ilets a perfect place to stay for those who are new to visiting Saint Barth.

Bedrooms: The villa is made up of two bedrooms, each with its own ensuite. In one room is a king-sized bed, while the other houses twin single beds. The modern minimalist aesthetic continues into the rooms, with the main colour scheme being white. A few strokes of stronger colours, contributed by additions such as pillows, blankets, and a feature painting, give a pleasing contrast to the room, taking away the clinical feel. Air conditioners and ceiling fans are essential fixtures of a tropical villa.

Outdoors: The swimming pool is built on part of the terrace that catches the most sunlight. A few sun loungers are placed nearby, perfect for sunbathing. On the roofed part is a small couch and table. The area leading from the kitchen is occupied by an alfresco dining table that seats up to 6 people. A gas barbecue grill is available for the guest to use. The bedrooms downstairs also have their own terrace, fitted with a few chairs and a small table.

Indoors: The staircase divides the upstairs area into two halves; the living area and indoor dining/kitchen area. The living area is fitted with an air conditioner, a ceiling fan, a flat-screen TV and an iPod dock, in addition to a set of plush couches and a coffee table arranged to face the ocean. The kitchen area is equipped with essential appliances such as an oven, a microwave, a toaster, a coffee maker, gas cooktops (with extractor fan above), and a french door fridge with an ice maker attachment. A walk downstairs brings you to the hallway of the two bedrooms.

Staff Quarters: With the rental price, airport/harbour pickup and drop offs are provided for the guests. Upon arrival at Villa Gris Ilets, guests will receive welcome gifts, put together by the staff. The on-island villa specialists will give suggestions on the best holiday activities on the island. The concierge will assist guests on the logistics side. The housekeeping staff will change sheets and towels every two days, as well as keeping the villa in optimal condition.

Location: Villa Gros Ilets is situated a few minutes outside Gustavia, the capital of Saint Barth, where guests can shop for groceries and other necessities. While Lurin, the area of the villa’s location, doesn’t have many attractions, its close proximity to the large town enables guests to visit places such as Gustavia Port. The villa is also a close distance to Gouverneur beach, where families can enjoy a day out in the sun. The part of the Caribbean Sea visible from the villa is home to a number of nearby islands, one of them being Saba.
