This is a 17th-century house at the base of a hill in Tuscany. The house has been renovated and modernized while maintaining all the historical design elements, which is why you will find traditional arched doorways, terracotta tiling, and chestnut beamed ceilings. The four bedrooms in this rental villa can easily sleep eight guests. The inclusion of modern amenities will give you luxury, while the serene ambiance will help you relax.

Bedrooms: All the four bedrooms are on the first floor. Two bedrooms have queen beds and a third has twin beds. Bedrooms 3 and 4 share a stand-alone shower. The master suite has a unique décor with wooden flooring, beamed ceilings, and a wrought-iron bed. It feels like you have entered a time capsule and gone back a hundred years. The ensuite bathroom has a hot tub. The others have modern furniture. But everywhere you look, you will find Tuscan touches, thanks to the rugs and linen, which have been crafted by the local artisans.

Outdoors: Villa Clotilde is spread over a huge area of 2000 square meters. It is nestled between the hills and valleys of Tuscany. Everywhere you look, you will see lush greenery. The views are truly enchanting and make you feel tucked away in the hills and the woods. Gather together by the swimming pool for a dip with your family or friends. Catch a glorious Italian tan on a sunbed. Enjoy your morning coffee in the large garden, have a picnic lunch under the shade of the old oak tree or an alfresco meal under the shade, and feast in the evening by the barbecue. The kids can run around to let off steam, while you relax and take in the views.

Indoors: Thanks to careful restoration, the villa now has an array of modern facilities, which blends perfectly with its traditional features that have been retained, like the original architecture, medieval stone walls, an old tower, arched doorways, and fireplaces. Wi-Fi internet runs throughout the villa. You will see the delightful effect of heritage and history in the cozy living room, decorative antiques, and elegant furnishings. There is a sound system and a first-aid kit for your convenience. The dining room has a banquet table that seats all eight guests. You will also find a separate breakfast table. Balconies offer stunning views of the swimming pool, the hills, and the valleys beyond.

Staff Quarters: You will have exclusive access to all utilities, linen, and towels. A gardener keeps the area clean. There is a parking space as well. Laundry, cook service, and midweek cleaning are available at an extra cost. It is best to give advance notice for these services.

Location: Villa Clotilde is so serene and secluded that you may feel as if you are miles away from everything. But you will be close to the beaches of Liguria and the picturesque Cinque Terra – they are both an easy drive away. You can be at the seaside in only 40 minutes. Licciana Nardi is only 6 kilometers away. Here, you will find many supermarkets, shops, and restaurants. The Tavernelle restaurant is only a kilometer away.
