Villa Callisto is a three-bedroom property, located in the prestigious area of Terres Basses. Located further up the hill, it provides an optimal view of the ocean and the ‘sea’ of green vegetation of its surrounding area.

The pride of the villa is its expansive backyard, consisting of a swimming pool, a large covered terrace (housing an alfresco dining table), a large gazebo, and a very spacious garden, with many trees and beautiful flowering plants.

The area of Terres Basses is a residential area in Saint Martin. It is 15 minutes away (by car) from the Marigot, the island’s capital. It takes a short drive to find good restaurants in the area. It is also relatively close to the Princess Juliana International Airport (a 20-minute car ride)

Bedrooms: Villa Callisto has three bedrooms, all with ensuites attached to them. Two of the rooms are accessible indoors via the Great Room, while one is accessible from the roofed terrace. Each bedroom is fitted with an air conditioner to maintain a cooler temperature. The splash of colour from the decor, such as decorative pillows and quilted throws, contrasts very well with the primarily white bedroom.

Outdoors: The roofed terrace is so spacious that even with an alfresco dining table (seats 8), and a set of two couches with a coffee table placed on it, there is still some space left over. It transitions into the equally large wooden deck, surrounding the swimming pool. The infinity-edged pool is chlorine free, overlooking the green hills and the blue ocean. To the left of the pool, is the sun deck that houses the sun lounges. To the right of the pool is the larger portion of the deck, containing a gazebo, a place for another set of couches. A gas grill can be found by the gazebo and is available for use. The rest of the space (mainly on the slope) is made into a lawn with various trees and colourful flowering plants.

Indoors: As you enter the villa, you will be greeted by the spaciousness of the Great Room. The kitchen is tucked into the right side of the room. It boasts a range of appliances, including a microwave, an oven, a French-door fridge with an ice machine attachment, a dishwasher, and an espresso machine. The black granite countertop gives a nice contrast with the white cabinets, backsplash and electric cooktops. The living area features a set of plush couches, a glass coffee table, and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Temperature of the great room is kept cool by two air conditioners and ceiling fans.

Staff Quarters: Concierge services are available to help guests with logistical enquiries. The beautiful garden is maintained by the gardener. Should anything on the villa needs repairing, the maintenance person will be called in to fix it. Upon arrival at Villa Callisto, guests are given a welcome basket, put together by the villa staff. The property is secured by an electric gate. Wifi runs throughout the villa, and is included in the rental price.

Location: Villa Callisto is situated in the gated area of Terres Basses, which in itself is a prime real estate location. Terres Basses is a piece of land sandwiched between the Caribbean sea and Simpson Bay Lagoon. It is connected to the rest of the French half of Saint Martin via Rue de Sandy Ground to its east, and to the Dutch half of the island to its south. Because of this, there are a number of beaches available to visitors in the area; Baie Longue and Baie Rouge are just a five-minute drive from the villa, while Plum Bay takes eight minutes. Villa Callisto is a 15-minute car ride away from Marigot the island’s capital. The nearest shops and restaurants take 10 minutes by car to reach. From the international airport, it is a 20-minute car ride to the villa.
