Bedrooms: During your holiday in Saint Barth, your private sanctuary will be one of Villa Aka’s three bedrooms. The rooms are full of modern details, such as contemporary lines and mood lighting, and each feature a Smart TV and air-conditioning. The master bedroom is a vision of modern luxury, with a king-sized bed, Sonos Sound System and ensuite TV with a rain-head shower and jetted bathtub. Of the other two rooms, one also features a king-sized bed, while the other has a smaller double bed. These two rooms share a bathroom with attractive, modern fittings.

Outdoors: Perched on a hillside overlooking the glistening Caribbean sea, the first thing that you’ll notice when you step onto Villa Aka’s spacious terrace are the stunning sea views. You’ll likely spend most of your time out here enjoying the sunshine. Lounge on one of the comfortable sun loungers, either shaded beneath a veranda and exotic palm trees, or placed in direct sunlight, or enjoy a cup of wine or coffee in the outdoor living area. The best views in the house can be enjoyed from the refreshing water of the heated pool, which lights up in futuristic purple after the sun sets. The end of daylight hours needn’t mean the end of the day outside, as you can fire up the has barbecue to prepare a grilled feast to delight the whole family.

Indoors: The cool interiors at Villa Aka are just as modern and comfortable as the bedrooms and the terrace. The main room is a spacious, open-plan kitchen/living room. Flooded with light from the floor-to-ceiling windows out onto the terrace and the skylights looking up towards the treetops, the living area is the perfect place to enjoy some respite from the sun on a hot afternoon. Install yourself on one of the cosy sofas as you enjoy a movie on the Smart TV. Semi-enclosed behind a half wall, the fully-equipped kitchen offers all of the modern amenities, such as an oven, microwave, dishwasher and wine cooler, which you will need for a self-catering getaway.

Location: Villa Aka is located in the quiet neighbourhood of Terre-Neuve, which is known for its stunning views and verdant hillsides. Corrosol, a small, tranquil beach, is a few minute’s walk away, and one of the largest, most picturesque beaches on the island, Plage des Flamands is just over 20 minutes away on foot. There are several restaurants and bars in the neighbourhood, and a more varied dining scene, which ranges from gourmet French to casual Caribbean cuisine, can be found in the island’s main city of Gustavia, which is easily accessible by car or taxi.
