Villa Casa de la Playa is a five-bedroom villa, located in the Terres Basses area of Saint Martin. The property combines luxury with island living. The heart of the villa, the Great Room, houses a billiard table and a grand piano, as well as the usual furnishings in a tropical villa such as a flat screen TV, a set of plush couches, and a set of wood-framed chairs.

There are lots of things to do on-site. Swim in the villa’s striking blue pool, run laps around the expansive front yard, and dine in one of the many alfresco areas on the terrace. Guests can even have outdoor movie sessions in the back garden, thanks to the outside projector and sound systems. If needed, outside facilities such as grocery shops are within a 10-minute car ride from the property.

The villa sits on the most sought-after real estate on the French side of the island. Situated a few steps away from the sand, Villa Casa de la Playa has private access to a stretch of beach in Baie Longue. Facilities outside the property are within a short drive away.

Bedrooms: Villa Casa de la Playa comprises five bedrooms, each with its own ensuite. The coastal decor continues here, with exposed wooden ceilings, hardwood floors, and walls and furnishing choices based on a colour palette typically found on the beach. Fitted with a smart TV and air conditioner, each room is privy to the gorgeous ocean view. All ensuite bathrooms have a standing rainfall shower. In addition, the master ensuite’s shower is of the alfresco type. The ensuite also contains a soaking tub.

Outdoors: There are many places the eyes are drawn to outside the main building of the villa. On the front lies a very large, well-manicured field, perfect to do some long-distance running in, or play a 5v5 match of any sport. On the back area of the villa, beyond the natural stone-tiled terrace, lies the irregularly-shaped swimming pool, with an infinity edge, complete with a diving board. The terrace faces directly to the beach, which is accessible via a few steps down a small stair. As it is a private stretch of beach (all 400 feet of it), guests are able to request the villa’s staff to set up a dining table by the sand, especially great for a sunset dinner. For more outdoor entertainment, the villa also has an outdoor projector and sound systems by the back garden, perfect for movie marathon sessions. For those who like to enjoy the ocean view from somewhere more private, the property also has a rooftop terrace, with couches and a daybed.

Indoors: The Great Room is a typically coastal-styled room, with its hardwood floor and exposed wooden ceiling. It features a billiard table and grand piano, free for guests to use to entertain themselves. Two sets of chairs are set up in the room; one is a set of plush couches, facing the TV. The other is a set of wood-framed chairs, facing the pool. If guests are looking for a change of scenery, there are other lounge areas sprinkled in and around the villa. The alfresco dining area is located just outside of the Great Room, but still covered by a roof attached to the main building. The kitchen is also facing the pool and also the Caribbean Sea. It is equipped with the essential fixtures, such as a microwave, fridge, oven, dishwasher, gas stovetop, and more.

Staff Quarters: A concierge service is provided on the property, as well as maintenance service. The sheets and towels are constantly replaced by the cleaning staff. A barbecue grill is available to be used by the guests. Wifi runs throughout the villa, enabling guests to keep up with the outside world. Included in the rental price is the in-house chef service, cooking gourmet cuisines three meals a day. A smart TV is fitted into all the bedrooms and the living portion of the Great Room, connected to AppleTV, where guests can enjoy the most current shows and movies. A one-time airport pickup is included in the rental price, for up to 10 passengers.

Location: Villa Casa de la Playa is situated on a location that is prime beachside real estate, Terres Basses. If the guest wants to explore other beaches, Plum Bay is a possible alternative, with its beach volleyball club. It is close to anywhere guests could possibly need and want to go to. The town and its facilities, such as grocery shops and restaurant areas are within a 10-minute drive from the villa. As the estate is near the Dutch side of the island, it only takes 15 minutes to drive from the international airport to get there.
