This charming three-bedroom villa is centrally located in the popular ski town of Hakuba, known for hosting the 1998 Winter Olympics, within walking distance of restaurants, bars, the ski lifts and an onsen. At home, relax in the airy living room as you watch Netflix on your widescreen TV, or prepare a family meal in your fully-equipped kitchen. Finally, bunk down for the night in a bedroom customised to the needs of your group, as two of the three bedrooms feature customisable beds and the third centres around two bunk beds.

Bedrooms: Begin and end each day at the Bluebird Apartment in the calming environment of one of the chalet’s three bedrooms. All designed in a bright, Alpine style, with clean whites and silvers and natural wood accents, the interiors perfectly match the wintery ambience of the snowy vistas visible from your bedroom window. The master bedroom is spacious and modern, centring around a configurable bed which can be arranged as either a double or two twin beds, and adjacent to a large, ensuite bathroom with contemporary Japanese fittings. Of the other two rooms, one is also an ensuite configurable bedrooms, and the other is a bunk bed room with space to sleep eight guests.

Outdoors: As beautiful and calming as the interiors at the Bluebird Apartment are, the floor-to-ceiling windows and gorgeous Alpine views are always there to beacon you out into the great outdoors. Just outside the apartment building, you’ll find a large, peaceful lawn, with a trickling stream running alongside, perfect for building snowmen in the winter or enjoying a family picnic in the summer. With tree-lined streets and footpaths, backdropped by rolling mountains, the surrounding area is ideal for a morning jog to energise you for the day ahead or an evening stroll to reflect on the past day.

Indoors: Walk into the large, open-plan living area at the Bluebird Apartment, and the soft furnishings, modern lines and cool colour palette will have you feeling completely at peace. The whole room is illuminated by streams of bright natural sunlight flowing through floor-to-ceiling window framing picture-perfect mountain views. After a thrilling day tearing up the slopes or hiking in the mountains, settle down on the large, L-shaped sofa and turn on your favourite Netflix show. While you relax, the culinary enthusiast of your group can head to the fully-equipped kitchen, complete with a Miele cooktop, dishwasher, microwave and dishwasher. Whether they’re preparing a family meal to be enjoyed around the dining table or a light snack before a night out, the kitchen provides everything that you need for a completely self-catered stay.

Staff Quarters: No expense has been spared in making guests at the Bluebird Apartment feel completely comfortable and at home, and as such, several services and amenities, including daily bin collection, air-conditioning and heating, parking, Netflix and WiFi, are provided free of charge. Known for its excellent pistes, state-of-the-art lifts and reliable snow conditions, the Hakuba area is known and beloved by winter sports enthusiasts all over Japan. After a day on the slopes, head out into town to enjoy the vibrant après-ski ambience. With a wide range of bars, restaurants and cafes, you can choose whether you’d like to head to a quiet family spot, casual hangout or lively nightclub.
