Rose Cottage is a secluded haven in the heart of Shimla. Located just a stone’s throw away from the Shimla Ridge, this colonial home offers you a warm welcome and exquisite views of the Shimla hills. With vintage wooden floors and ceilings, warm floral furnishings, and a lot of soul, you’ll feel at home in no time at all. It was initially bought in the 1930s by Col. Sir Buta Singh, who was from a family of the “Chiefs of Punjab” and was a member of the Council of States. It was used by him as his summer residence in the days when Shimla was the Summer Capital of India and the property remains with the family to date. Step inside and walk into the charming living space which will give you a feeling of living in erstwhile luxury. With plush French windows and antique furniture, this home truly looks like something straight out of a storybook. This enchanting colonial bungalow comes with a gorgeous dining room and spacious outdoor areas to enjoy scrumptious barbecue meals, morning espressos, and evening glasses of fine wine as you breathe in the fresh air.
